Recording Secretary - Part-time, Evenings
Description:
The Town of Salem seeks a reliable, dependable individual with excellent recording and transcription skills to attend Budget Committee meetings and record meeting minutes. Meetings are usually held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month commencing at 7:00 p.m. until the meeting’s conclusion—2 to 3 hours. From about Oct. until Feb. meetings are held more frequently due to budget cycle. Individual must have ability to record minutes in “shorthand”, speedwriting or on a laptop computer. Successful candidate must be detail and deadline oriented and able to work in a public environment. Hourly range: $11.50 to $13.50/hr. depending on experience. No benefits offered. EOE.
