The Salem Police Department is very proud of the relationships that have been built in our community, especially with the Salem School District. Members of the Community Services Unit work very closely with our schools and the youth of our community. This unit encompasses our School Resource Officers, our Juvenile Detectives, Crime Prevention and Traffic Safety. During the summer months, our officers run the Summer Youth Program. This consists of fun and educational day field trips to places like the Lowell Spinners and NH Fisher Cats baseball games, Chunkie's Movie Theatre and Canobie Lake Park. These trips are funded entirely through donations.

The officers and staff of the Salem Police Department work hard all school year to build positive relationships with the children in the schools. The Summer Youth Program allows us to interact with the kids in a fun environment outside of the school or police setting.
