VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are always looking for volunteers...

To help with programs, activities and special events. We don't pay a lot of money; in fact we don't pay anything. You don't have to be involved in the program nor have kids in the program to volunteer. Some of the best volunteers are people that just walk through the door and say how can I help. You just have to be willing. It's as simple as that.

If you would like to gain rewarding experience volunteering with the Town of Salem Recreation Department, please give us a call to learn about exciting opportunities.

All program areas of the department can use volunteers on a regular basis and for various projects throughout the year. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with reception duties, clerical assistance, program aides and helpers and a variety of different support duties. In addition, volunteers are needed to help with the department's many special events including Annual Halloween party, July 4th Celebration and more. Volunteer's area also recruited to serve on the Recreation Advisory Committee.

If you are interested in working with children, we would like to talk with you. The Town of Salem Recreation Department is interested in recruiting volunteers to help run our programs and special events.

Students needing Community Service Hours should contact the Recreation Department at (603) 890-2140.

We're looking for:
  • Halloween Party
  • Fishing Derby
  • July 4th celebration workers
  • Holiday Craft Fair
  • Adopt-a-Park Program
  • Program Registrations
  • Collating flyers
  • Making copies
  • Master Plan revision
  • Person to take photos of our programs (we will provide camera)
  • Palmer School
  • Working with our Adaptive Recreation Programs
We have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. If you are interested in finding out more, please call the Recreation Department at (603) 890-2140.

THANK YOU!

Volunteers Are Our Most Important Resource!
